Macaulay Road Topping out Party

August 19, 2021

We have celebrated the topping out of 393 Macaulay Rd, Kensington, our first apartment project to be delivered under our celebrated Assemble Futures housing concept (also known as ‘rent-with-the-option-to-buy’).

Our team marked the occasion with a traditional construction ceremony that saw a tree craned onsite to crown the building.

Guests and key project partners, including builder, Descon and architecture firm, Fieldwork, were invited to take in the site progress, including the successful completion of the structural phase of the project.

Assemble Managing Director, Kris Daff said it was a momentous occasion to see the first Assemble Futures project achieve this construction milestone.

“We are proud to celebrate the topping out of our first Assemble Futures development and have our project partners with us to mark the occasion.”

“We have strong roots in the Kensington community with three developments in the area that are collectively valued in excess of $500 million and deliver over 650 dwellings. It is exciting to be part of the community’s transformation and be a step closer to welcoming our first residents,” said Mr Daff.

The project comprises 73 apartments over eight levels, its located three kilometres north-west of Melbourne’s CBD in Kensington.

With the project now topped-out, we are closer to welcoming our first residents which are due to move in late 2021.

Identified as one of Resilient Melbourne’s Resilient Communities (an initiative of 100 Resilient Cities – pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation), 393 Macaulay Rd will encourage greater understanding of how to create more connected communities that are both sustainable and financially viable.

This is our third key development in Kensington area, in addition to include 15 Thompson St which is currently being demolished in preparation for construction, and 402 Macaulay Rd which was acquired earlier this year.
